Jeff

Most Hated Games: Console shooters, boring jrpgs, games with space marines, zombie games.
Favorite Games: Dwarf Fortress, LoZ:OoT, true survival horror games, and Tabletop Games.

Jeff was raised by cannibals in the Ohio River valley. Due to time spent building elaborate traps to ward off neighbors, he developed a strong propensity for micromanagement. His reluctance to simply shoot the intruders also grew into an utter inability to use the easy path. Jeff likes to play his games on the upper difficulty settings and doesn’t mind replaying the same segment just to keep a pointless character from dying. He's also willing to look past almost any level of graphical imperfection in favor of good game play and story. When not playing video games, he does Chemistry in a futile effort to eradicate the homophage menace of his homeland. He also likes to DM tabletop games.

Dan

Most Hated Games: Sports games, racing games
Favorite Games: Second Sight; Legacy of Kain series; Max Payne; Deadly Premonition; King's Quest 6: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow; Dragon Age: Origins

Dan is a young man with many passions in life. One of these passions just happens to be masochism in its purest form. He has always enjoyed challenging himself to eat enormous quantities of food, depriving himself of sleep for extended periods of time, and searching within himself to find the true limits of his boredom. One may say he has developed an iron will through these many trials and tribulations. Once, while he was playing XIII for the PS2, the game froze and he was viciously thrust back three or four hours. Where many would curse, toss the controller, or sprint out of the room in tears, Dan replayed those hours without missing a beat. Not being satisfied with just that victory, he then went on to finish the rest of the game in the same play session. This anecdote provides a mere glimpse into the deranged psyche that he has developed through his masochistic practices. However, when Dan plays video games, he gains most of his pleasure via atmosphere, plot, and perhaps even emotional response. He is generally willing to look past questionable or downright shoddy gameplay mechanics if there is a hearty plot or some rich atmosphere lurking beneath them. Dan also happens to be a Computer Scientist focusing on software development. Oh, and he's a Gemini and loves cats.

 James

Most Hated Games: Farmvill, Train Simz, puzzle games, MMO's, HAWX
Favorite Games: Metal Gear Solid (Every single one; that's canon), Golden Sun, Fallout 3, Thief, Wings of Prey

James lives by a canal.  He is an aerospace engineer who likes plot more than anything.  If it doesn't have a story, it's stupid.  He views games as books 2.0.  He will gladly sacrifice game play for an intriguing story.  Because of this view, he will gladly watch someone else play a Book 2.0 (especially if the game play is awful or if it's creepy) to absorb the story.  Along with his strong views on story, he has a strong opinion on pizza.  It's not pizza unless it has at least two meats. It's not good pizza unless there are at least four.  His last view is perhaps his strongest:  A love for spicy things that goes far beyond what any feeling for a taste should go.  If you can eat or drink it, it should be spicy.  Drinks that can and should be spicy include:  Bloody Marry, Habanero Lime Slushy, Chili Beer, and Chili infused liquor.  Foods that should be spicy include (but are not limited to): everything---even ice cream.  His favorite activity is petting his tri-legged cat while eating a quad-meat pizza and watching Walking Dead (or cartoons).

Wilson

Most Hated Games: Call Of Duty, Dwarf Fortress, Fable 3
Favorite Games: Pokémon Gold, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Shadow of the Colossus

Wilson (February 22, 1732) was the dominant military and political leader of the new United States of America from 1775 to 1799. He led the American victory over Great Britain in the American Revolutionary War as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army from 1775 to 1783, and presided over the writing of the Constitution in 1787. The unanimous choice to serve as the first President of the United States (1789–1797), Wilson presided over the creation of a strong, well-financed national government that stayed neutral in the wars raging in Europe, suppressed rebellion and won acceptance among Americans of all types. His leadership style established many forms and rituals of government that have been used since, such as using a cabinet system and delivering an inaugural address. Wilson is universally regarded as the "Father of his Country". He also makes web comics.

Mike

Most Hated Games: Dwarf Fortress, [insert setting here]ville, [insert sport here] [insert year here]
Favorite Games: Halo 2, The Mass Effect series, Co-op Games, LoZ: OoT, Rhythm Games

Mike, a true console gamer at heart, started his gaming career with the 8-bit wonder that is the Nintendo Entertainment System.  After nearly a decade as a dedicated Nintendo fanboy, Mike decided to take his gaming life to the next level and converted to the ways of the Xbox.  Ten years later, Mike is still an Xbox gamer while dabbling in the indie PC gaming scene.  While trudging through the brutal summer months of few big name game releases, Mike occupies his time forcing himself to make it through cheap, critically failed games.  What most of the world hates, Mike usually hates too, though by the end of his time with a game, he often finds some redeeming qualities.  As with many people who study Computer Science, Mike has dabbled in a bit of game development, making him appreciate attempts at creativity and alternate presentation styles in games.

Emily

Most Hated Games: Call of Duty, Platform Games, Spirit Tracks
Favorite Games: LoZ: WindWaker, LoZ: Twilight Princess, BioShock, BioShock 2, Plants Vs. Zombies, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, WoW

Although Emily is mainly a console gamer, she can be found playing WoW on the weekends when she isn't loaded down by schoolwork. Emily focuses on the cultural aspects of games. Why do we like it, what does it say about us, what does it say about society, and how does the game line up with our own personal beliefs, morals, etc. She won't get theory heavy for most of the games, but she will encourage people to look a little deeper to understand what it is she's talking about. When she's not gaming, Emily enjoys playing with her cat Azeroth and telling Dan about burritos. Seriously though, burritos are awesome. She loves being a vegetarian, black bean patties, the color blue, fun, researching (kind of), and reading. The WoW books are something she's recently discovered but has quickly read through. If any of you are curious, she encourages you to check them out. Don't worry about being called a nerd. At this point, you should just embrace it. She's super into documentaries and to list them all would be an exhaustive list that left people drooling on their keyboards. Anyway, to all you readers, she hopes you have many games that leave you happy and your television screens unscathed by controllers and nearby objects.
